From the road, S-10 was meant to look like almost nothing: a fenced patch of Goshen County ground, power poles, a few hardened fixtures, and a buried launch structure that gave away little about its former purpose. That understatement is the point. Launch Facility S-10 was one of Sierra Flight's unmanned missile silos, controlled from S-01, and later one of the F.E. Warren launch facilities modified for the LGM-118A Peacekeeper program. Public coordinate records place S-10 in Goshen County, Wyoming, near Yoder, at approximately 41.941019, -104.477865. A public Peacekeeper field photo listing identifies the site as Francis E. Warren AF Missile Site S-10, PIN 8708, ILC GHZR, with a DMS coordinate of 41-56-28, 104-28-40, which closely matches the KMZ-derived decimal coordinate used here.

S-10 belonged to F.E. Warren Air Force Base's Minuteman missile field, first under the 90th Strategic Missile Wing in the SAC era and later under the 90th Missile Wing. Its Peacekeeper-era squadron was the 400th Missile Squadron. The parent control site for Sierra Flight was S-01 Missile Alert Facility / Launch Control Center. S-10 is no longer an active missile facility. The Peacekeeper mission at F.E. Warren ended on 2005-09-19, and the former Peacekeeper launch facilities were later included in New START-era silo-elimination planning.

S-10 occupied open rural land in Goshen County, northwest of Yoder and west of the tighter cluster of S-05 through S-09 sites.

S-10 was an unmanned launch facility, not a crewed command post. The missile crew served at S-01, while maintenance, communications, and security teams visited S-10 as needed. Public exterior photos from 2013 show the kind of surface evidence expected at a former Peacekeeper launch facility: open-range fencing, general views across the site, the silo area, a cathodic protection control box, and power poles.

S-10 began as a Minuteman launch facility in the F.E. Warren missile field and later passed through the Minuteman III-to-Peacekeeper conversion that affected 50 former Minuteman silos assigned to the Peacekeeper force. Official Air Force history states that F.E. Warren's Minuteman III missiles replaced Minuteman I in 1975, that Minuteman II was not deployed there, and that 50 Peacekeeper missiles were brought on alert in modified Minuteman III silos in 1988.

S-10 is a decommissioned former Minuteman / Peacekeeper launch facility. The missile is gone, and the site was included in the broader New START disposal framework for former Peacekeeper launch facilities at F.E. Warren. Public Air Force documentation for the 2013 silo-elimination program explains that the former Peacekeeper silos were empty and that elimination methods included explosive implosion or backfill, with post-elimination observation requirements under New START.
